Pure/raw honey should not go bad! To make sure that the honey is raw, you can perform the following tests:

  • In a glass filled with water, add one tablespoon of honey. If the honey settles at the bottom of the glass, it's pure. Those with extenders will most likely get dissolved in the water.
  • Put a small drop of honey on your finger (I use my thumb). If it spreads around, it's most likely not pure. Raw honey will stay intact.

A mix of warm water and raw honey is one of the remedies that we didn’t let go of, because it actually works! Raw honey helps the body create antibodies that fight the pollen, which will in turn help your body become more immune to allergy triggers.

Like I mentioned above, I started noticing that since I started drinking warm water with honey in the morning, my energy during the day has dramatically improved!

I’d usually get tired in the afternoon so I’d down some coffee to get that boost, but now I’ve actually cut down on caffeine and replaced it with warm water and honey. It’s an all-natural energy booster!

Honey is an excellent source of carbohydrates, natural sugars, enzymes, and antioxidants that will help boost your energy. This is actually recommended by dietitians as a pre-exercise meal or snack for athletes!
